ULocate Finds $11 Million In New Venture Capital

FRAMINGHAM, MA -- Mobile application provider uLocate announced the receipt of $11 million in new funding by a syndicate of venture capital firms.

ULocate provides applications that enable users to generate location-based results for mobile devices.  The company counts MapQuest, Helio Buddy Beacon and Global Pet Finder among its partners.

The round included investments by Venrock Associates, GrandBanks Capital and Kodiak Venture Partners.  The company intends to use the funding proceeds to continue development of their products and expand sales and marketing efforts.
